Many of our customers’ call and ask “which product will work best for me?”.  We decided that we would make it easier on you and write a blog entry about it.  Our first blog entry is Nail Care:  Problems and Solutions.  We will be going over many common problems with your nails, and giving you easy solutions to correct them. 

Problem:  Brittle Nails

How do you know if you have brittle nails?  By definition, Brittle fingernails are a common condition, occurring in about 20 % of people; more women than men develop brittle nails.  Brittle nails usually break or peel off in horizontal layers, starting at the nail’s free end. The term brittle nails can also refer to a condition in which lengthwise splits appear in the nail. In either case, the nail’s structure is faulty.

Problem:  Nail Biting

Nail biting is a fairly “normal” nervous habit that commonly derives from stress and/or anxiety.  It’s  actually a real medical condition known as onychophagia.  Even celebs like Britney and J. Lo have been caught with their fingers in their mouths, chomping away! 

But nail biting isn’t so glamorous.  Not only does it leave you with ugly, cracked, red, and often painful nailbeds, putting your fingers in your mouth is also unhealthy.  Think about all the germs that are around us that we touch!  

 Can’t “bite” the habit? Try these tips!
